Gary Rivers recently was approached by Malone University to create a fun video to promote a very worthwhile cause….. Helping Victims of Domestic violence. The video is a fun spoof, showing men how to wear High Heels. It’s an attempt to let men in on the fundraiser coming up on October 19, 2010 where men will actually walk a mile in women’s shoes….
Here’s the Video:
Malone University and the Domestic Violence Project, Inc. (DVPI) are uniting to present Walk a Mile in Her Shoes – The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence, Tuesday, October 19 beginning at 3:30 p.m. on the Malone University campus.
The walk demonstrates that men are willing to be courageous partners with women in making the world a safer place. Participants are required to walk one mile in women’s shoes – which, as women already know – can be a challenge!
One hundred male college athletes have thus far committed to walking a mile in women’s shoes as a symbol of support for the cause. Community members are welcome to participate, or cheer the guys on as they hobble toward the finish line! Participants can make their own shoes or purchase from DVPI for a suggested donation of $20. There will be a short awards ceremony at the end of the walk for “highest heel,” “hottest heel,” “hippest heel,” and “first to break a heel.”
