Ohio US Senator Rob Portman Spoke to Mix 989’s Gary & Lindsay Friday morning on various topics relating to the efforts in Ohio and Washington to fight the financial and medical hardships created by the Covid-19 emergency.

Portman spoke to the morning team about some good news: Amidst the Covic-19 crisis — up to 1,500 jobs may be created in Lordstown because of a new joint venture between GM and Honda.

Among the topics discussed in the interview:

* How Portman worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure an extension for filing of claims and appeals for veterans’ compensation benefits was put in place since VA offices have been closed due to the pandemic;

* The efforts to help get Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s major disaster declaration request approved quickly by President Trump, unlocking additional Federal dollars

Gary & Lindsay Interviewed “The Voice” contestant, 18 yr old Meghan Danielle, Monday morning on the Mix 989 Morning Show.
The Georgia native was raised by her mom and currently works as a waitress, dishwasher and cashier at a restaurant in Douglasville, Ga.
Some believe she could go far on the Voice.

Governor Mike DeWine spoke to Gary & Lindsay on the Mix 989 Morning show Thursday morning.

Two Mix 989 listeners, recorded earlier, told the Governor they were pleased how quickly the Governor acted to close the state down to slow down the Covic-19 pandemic spread.

In the radio segment, Dewine talked about how the state has been affected—and gave examples of a few of the efforts his office has done and is going to do in the near future.

The annual holiday show returns to Cleveland with their  “THE GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS EVE” ROCK OPERA which is based on their multi-platinum DVD and long running PBS fundraiser.  2018 marks the 20 th Anniversary of Trans-Siberian Orchestra ON TOUR. Since that time they have performed 2,000+ shows.
